As temperatures rise, many users' wall-hung boilers have already switched to summer mode, and the peak season for hot water usage has arrived. What key points should be considered when using a wall-hung boiler in summer to balance comfort and energy efficiency? What emergency measures should be taken in the event of extreme weather such as heavy rain and strong winds? Let's take a look!

1, Appropriate Hot Water Settings

The basic water temperature is higher in summer. For comfort, the wall-hung boiler hot water temperature does not need to be set too high; it is recommended to set it around 42 ℃. However, if the bathroom is far from the wall-hung boiler, to avoid heat loss during hot water transportation in the pipes, you can appropriately increase the value. Excessive water temperature will affect the lifespan of the hot water pipes, causing aging and damage; it will also cause the wall-hung boiler to operate under overload for a long time, leading to malfunctions, and internal scaling, affecting heat exchange efficiency and increasing energy consumption.

2, Careful Operation

 01 Avoid Frequent Switching

First, do not frequently switch the wall-hung boiler power on and off. Under normal standby conditions, the wall-hung boiler only consumes some electricity to ensure the protection system operates normally and usage safety; it does not consume gas or water.

Second, during showering, try to reduce the number of times you turn the hot water tap on and off. Each time it is switched, the wall-hung boiler will repeatedly perform shutdown, self-check, and ignition procedures, resulting in more energy consumption.

02 Adjust Water Temperature, Avoid Adding Cold Water

During the use of wall-hung boiler hot water, some users worry that the hot water temperature is too high and may use the mixing valve to adjust it. However, this will cause the hot water flow rate of the wall-hung boiler to decrease, and abnormal changes in water flow and water pressure will also cause the main unit to shut down or cause the water flow to fluctuate between hot and cold, affecting the comfort of hot water use. If you want to adjust the appropriate water temperature, it is recommended to set it directly through the control panel and avoid mixing cold water.

03 Pay Attention to Water Pressure Changes

Affected by thermal expansion and contraction, the water pressure of the wall-hung boiler will fluctuate in summer, the normal range is 11.5bar If the pressure is too low, water needs to be added promptly.

    04 Full Water Maintenance

Even in summer, the wall-hung boiler system should be kept full of water to ensure normal water pressure: this prevents a drop in water pressure that could prevent the wall-hung boiler from operating normally; it also prevents corrosion in the radiator system because the wall-hung boiler is a closed system.

3. Emergency Response Strategies

Since there is more rainy weather in summer, many users also worry about whether extreme weather will affect the operation of the wall-hung boiler?

01 In windy weather, only when the wall-hung boiler flue faces strong winds will there be a backflow of exhaust gas into the flue, causing abnormal combustion or malfunction of the wall-hung boiler.

02 In heavy rain, normally rainwater will not enter the wall-hung boiler through the flue, unless heavy rain and strong winds occur, which may cause rainwater to enter the flue.

If backflow of exhaust gas into the flue or rainwater backflow occurs due to strong winds, for safety reasons, users should immediately turn off the power and contact professional after-sales personnel for processing. Only use after repairs.
